Welcome to Droylsden Sealions

Droylsden Sealions Swimming Club is a friendly, affordable, competitive swimming club catering for girls and boys aged between 4 and 13 years old from complete beginners to competitive swimmers. The club's highly qualified coaches provide training for swimmers of all abilities to County and National Standards. The emphasis is on competition and the club participates in friendly and league galas and mini-meets throughout the year.

In early 2008 saw the start of a club link with Stockport Metros, providing extra training with the Stockport Coaches. Further details

The club currently has over 130 members and provides coaching sessions twice a week, twelve months a year, catering for all levels from novice through to intermediate and then onto squad swimming.

At novice level children are taught the basics of all the swimming strokes, and we hope that one day they will be able to represent the club and swim in galas.

There is no obligation to attend competitions. However, a legitimate competitive element is present in the club and we encourage swimmers to take part in competitions, either to represent the club colours or to swim individually, depending on the type of galas they attend.
